Requirements for 7^th Grade Students

Enrolled in Pre-Algebra

Your child is enrolled in Pre-Algebra as a 7^th grader.  In order for your child to demonstrate success in this course of study this school year and qualify to enroll in Algebra 1 in 8^th grade, your child must meet the following criteria:

All 7^th grade students enrolled in Pre-Algebra must (1) earn a minimum 4-quarter 3.00 GPA in Pre-Algebra, (2) earn 70% on the end-of-course Pre-Algebra Final Exam, and (3) earn a Grade 7 Spring Math RIT score of 245 or above.

Students who are unable to meet the Algebra 1 placement criteria will be enrolled in Algebra 1A in 8^th grade.

Your child’s math teacher will contact you if your child is performing below the grade standards listed above.
